Katarata Collective is a pilot initiative developed by a group of colleagues over an extended period. Between 2020 and 2022, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Collective was reorganized to focus on producing animation projects for a range of international clients.

A total of seven projects were developed collaboratively, providing a deeply rewarding experience of learning and growth within the field of animation. Working as a team with real clients, we divided responsibilities and tested our skills in a practical, professional environment. Throughout the process, we focused on strengthening our individual capabilities while learning from one another and from direct client collaboration. It was a journey that was undoubtedly worth the effort.

The team initially consisted of five members: Cris Neme, Iulia Draguta, Stephie Cavina, Florian Kempt, and Ender Yildizhan. Over time, some members reduced their level of involvement, with Stephie, Iulia, and Cris continuing as full-time members.

Ema's Story & Nick's Story: These two videos were part of the St. Johns Series, featuring teenagers and young adults who were cancer patients as children, sharing their personal journeys. The animations illustrate the activities and experiences they missed out on during their healing process. They also convey the emotional challenges they faced and how these experiences ultimately transformed them, empowering them to overcome their struggles.

La Sombra is a music video created to deliver a powerful message against gender violence. It plays an essential role in the Cambia Ya campaign, aimed at raising awareness about gender violence within the Puerto Rican community. The campaign focuses on educating individuals about the issue to help reduce such behaviors. Through workshops and outreach, Cambia Ya provides knowledge on the topic in various communities across the island. The campaign also manages a Facebook page that shares informative images and content related to gender violence.
